Countryside reports record growth in south England

Countryside said that its business has continued to grow throughout Kent, Sussex and Surrey. Following the opening of the division’s new headquarters in Sevenoaks last year, operations are performed strongly with key developments now open in Coxheath, Headcorn, Chatham, Horsham and Ebbsfleet Garden City and many more to come in 2017.

“When we opened our divisional office in Sevenoaks last year, it marked a focus on driving growth of the business across the Southern region,” said Iain McPherson, Managing Director of New Homes and Communities South, at Countryside. “We are greatly encouraged by the results so far this year – our sites are coming forward on target, we have a strong land bank and the market has been positive. We are committed to delivering more high quality housing for local people in well-designed new communities and the business is in a great position to continue to grow throughout 2017.”

The borough of Maidstone is the region’s heartland and here Countryside has launched Willow Grange in Coxheath and Kingsbridge in Headcorn. Maidstone will also be the location for up to 875 new homes to be developed by Countryside across several sites in the years to come, including Sutton Road and the outlying village of Yalding.

Countryside has recently launched one of the final phases at Springhead Park in Northfleet, which forms the first major part of Ebbsfleet Garden City.

Since launching earlier this year there have been strong sales at Parklands – Azure, which forms part of St Mary’s Island in Chatham Maritime, due to pent up local demand after earlier phases sold-out. The next phase to be known as The Docks, including a range of apartments overlooking the Marina, will be launching later in 2017.
