Rupert Bates

Rupert Bates, one of the leading property journalists in the country, is editorial director of Show House and What House Digital and is a co-founder of the business, having covered the new homes industry for 25 years.

Rupert has appeared regularly on national television and radio, giving his views on the housing market and has been a judge for many property industry awards, as well as the recipient of several awards himself.

Rupert also hosts the annual What House? Awards, the oscars of the housebuilding industry and is property correspondent of The Field magazine.

Alongside his magazine work, Rupert worked for The Daily Telegraph covering property and sport for 20 years and has covered five Rugby World Cups.

Isla MacFarlane

Isla trained as a journalist on her local paper in Southeast England and has since worked on magazines and websites across the UK, South India and the UAE; covering topics ranging from travel and entertainment to business and banking. Isla moved to Dubai in 2008 as the Editor of Private Equity and Hedge Funds Middle East. She spent the next eight years producing business and financial content across a variety of platforms including websites, magazines, e-newsletters, books, events, broadcast and contract publishing. She has reported from events across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia. Isla holds a BA in English Literature from Bath Spa University and a post graduate qualification in Production Journalism from the National Council for the Training of Journalists.

Keith Osborne is the editor of WhatHouse? and the Careers Editor for Show House. Keith has been reporting on the new homes industry for over 16 years. As well as managing the editorial content for WhatHouse?, Keith edits Show House Jobs and regularly writes for Show House Magazine. Keith has also provided copy for numerous property companies and websites across the UK and overseas, both in the consumer and business-to-business sectors.
