With ongoing plans for growth an expansion our client is now looking to recruit for a Senior Health and Safety Advisor job in Orpington on a permanent basis.

Our client is an award winning multidisciplinary consultancy with over 200 staff and offices in London, Kent, Essex, Hants, Cambridgeshire and the West Midlands, providing services to the construction and property industry across the UK. Working across projects sectors including commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, retail, mixed-use and residential and offering services across a wide range of disciplines including Architecture, BIM, M&E, Engineering, Surveying, Project Management and H&S.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform Principal Designer duties in accordance with CDM 2015. Identifying and managing design related risks within design and construction
  • Provide a role as CDM Advisor to Clients and Contractors
  • General construction and associated health and safety consultancy
  • Communicating effectively with contractors, designers and clients
  • Reviewing and monitoring designers’ compliance
  • Plan, coordinate and manage the pre-construction phase of projects
  • Ensuring designers comply with CDM regulations
  • Positively interaction with members of the team and project professional team
  • Support of the wider LLP business with the provision of safety advice.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Expert knowledge of Construction, Design and Management (CDM) Regulations
  • CMIOSH or working towards
  • CMaPS or working towards
  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety and General Certificate
  • Tech IOSH as a minimum and CMaPS within 6 months, assistance given
  • Ability to manage own time effectively
  • Able to pro-actively manage own workload
  • Ability to lead own projects, with regular peer review
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, as Client care is of paramount importance.

Salary & Package

  • Competitive Salary
  • 24 Days Holiday rising to 30 days with length of service
  • Working hours: 09.00 – 17.00, Monday to Friday
