NHBC Construction Technician (Standards)
NHBC has an exciting opportunity for a NHBC Construction Technician (Standards) to join our team working from our head office in Milton Keynes. You will work on a full time, permanent basis and earn a highly competitive salary of £30,500 – £35,500 per annum.

About the NHBC Construction Technician (Standards) role
Working in the Standards, Innovation and Research department, you will provide technical support to colleagues within NHBC and the house-building industry, as well as assisting with the development of NHBC’s technical guidance. The role will primarily be investigating technical issues relating to house-building technologies, methods and materials and will be to provide accurate responses to technical enquiries from a range of people, including NHBC colleagues, house builders, construction professionals, product manufacturers and homeowners.
About our ideal NHBC Construction Technician (Standards)
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will offer a good knowledge of house-building methods and related technical issues. You will offer excellent communication skills, both orally and in written form with excellent organisational qualities.
You will already offer construction experience, preferably in house building, perhaps from working on site or in a design, surveying or engineering role. Ideally, you will already offer a relevant construction based qualification. An ideal candidate will already have membership of an appropriate recognised professional institution (e.g. CIOB / CABE) or be working towards it.
A typical background for a Construction Technician could be any of the following capacities: Architectural Technician, Building Surveyor or a similar discipline within the construction industry.
