We take our weekly look at some of the appointments and promotions across the housebuilding industry and its supply chain.

Elaine Cartwright, Redrow Homes

Elaine Cartwright of Redrow HomesWith over 30 years’ experience in the property sector, Elaine Cartwright has been named the new sales director for Redrow Homes Midlands. Her career has progressed from customer care to sales manager to over 15 years as a director. “I can’t wait to get started and ensure the journey is special for all our customers,” she commented.

 

Lee Barrett, Bovis Homes

Lee Barrett of Bovis HomesLee Barrett has been appointed divisional operations director for Bovis Homes, responsible for the Stanton Cross development in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. He has worked in the industry for more than 25 years and joins from Urban & Civic. Previous director roles include those at Catesby Property Group, David Wilson Homes and Balfour Beatty Construction.

 

Pierre Farnsworth, Bellway

Pierre Farnsworth of BellwayBellway Eastern Counties has appointed Pierre Farnsworth to the role of land buyer, focusing on Cambridgeshire, East Northamptonshire, Rutland, Lincolnshire, and Norfolk. He previously spent six years as a provider of property, business and planning services, overseeing sales and acquisitions of residential, commercial and agricultural property.

 

Paul Oldridge, Keepmoat Homes

Paul Oldridge of Keepmoat HomesPaul Oldridge is the new regional managing director for the West Yorkshire region of Keepmoat Homes. With more than 25 years’ experience in the construction industry, he joins from Redrow Homes. He said: “Being part of a diverse market place like this offers great stability to a business with such exciting growth plans, and I look forward to my future with Keepmoat.”

 

Bob Murrell, Bewley Homes

Bob Murrell of Bewley HomesAfter some 40 years in the industry, the last five as associate construction director, Bob Murrell has been promoted to construction director by Bewley Homes. Previously, he has worked in a variety of roles, including site management at London’s Docklands in the 1980s. Managing director Andrew Brooks said: “We are delighted that Bob has joined the Board.”

 

Martin Cooper, Hart Builders

Martin Cooper of Hart BuildersCruden Group company Hart Builders has appointed Martin Cooper as its new finance director. A qualified chartered accountant with several years in a management role at Arthur Aderson, he has previously been finance director with Galliford Try and Miller Construction. He said: “I’m delighted to be part of a successful construction and property company.”

 

Nick Riggs, Octagon Developments

Nick Riggs of Octagon DevelopmentsLuxury developer, Octagon Developments has announced Nick Riggs as its finance director. He started his career in audit at Deloitte over 23 years ago, making his way to senior director there. He has experience across a wide range of business sectors, including financial services, TMT and manufacturing, to leisure, retail and real estate.

 

Mario Wolf, Custom Build Homes

Mario Wolf of Custom Build HomesSpecialist developer Custom Build Homes has appointed Mario Wolf as its new director of planning & strategic engagement. His career includes time in the civil service and the planning and development sector, and in planning across the globe in both private and public sector roles. He is a corporate member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.

Angus Cook of Bewley HomesBewley Homes has appointed a new land director. Angus Cook has worked in the industry since leaving university in 1998 and has worked in land director and managing director with other companies. “Bewley… have a fantastic reputation as a company based on family values but which has real aspirations to grow. Alan Rubenstein, NHBC

Alan Rubenstein of NHBCNHBC has today announced the appointment of Alan Rubenstein as non-executive director and Chair of the Investment Committee. He brings with him over 30 years’ experience in pensions, insurance, asset management and investment banking. He was chief executive of the Pension Protection Fund between 2009 and 2018.

 

Russell Drummond, Lovell Partnerships

Russell Drummond of Lovell PartnershipsRussell Drummond has joined Lovell Partnerships as regional land manager of its North West division. He spent the previous six-and-a-half years as senior land manager with Barratt David Wilson in the North West and has more than 11 years’ experience in land acquisition and disposal, specialising in residential land.

 

Peter Lackey, Keepmoat Homes

Peter Lackey of Keepmoat HomesKeepmoat Homes has appointed Peter Lackey as project director for the Southern region’s flagship scheme Cable Wharf in Northfleet. Peter has a technical and operational background, and joins the team having gained a wealth of experience at senior level within the housebuilding sector at companies such as Berkeley Group and Willmott Dixon.

 

Stewart Thomson, Barratt Developments

Stewart Thomson of Barratt DevelopmentsBarratt Developments Yorkshire West has welcomed Stewart Thomson to its team as senior land manager. He was head of land and partnerships at Keepmoat Homes after achieving an MA in Town and Country Planning. “I’m really looking forward to developing my career further at Barratt Developments,” he commented.

 

Two appointments, Dacre, Son and Hartley

Karin Fritz, and Georgie Williams of Dacre, Son and HartleyEstate agency Dacre, Son and Hartley has made two appointments. Karin Fritz, originally from Austria and with 26 years in the UK, has a sales negotiator role, and Georgie Williams, who joined the firm nearly four years ago as a customer services sales representative and been a negotiator, is sales manager at the head office in Ilkley.

 

Two appointments, Chestertons

Jamie McMullan David Russell of ChestertonsChestertons has made two senior appointments. Jamie McMullan joins as chief operating officer for UK & Europe Franchising and David Russell has been appointed chief marketing officer for Global Franchising and New Homes. Salah Mussa, chairman of the Chestertons Group, said: “[This] highlights our continued commitment to strengthening our global franchise proposition.”

 

Scott Windle, Property Perspective

Scott Windle of Property PerspectiveProperty Perspective has appointed Scott Windle as regional valuer for the South West and South Wales. He has spent 14 years in estate agency as a negotiator and valuer, working for major corporates like Countrywide Group and most recently in the role of sales valuation manager for Wiltshire independents, Strakers.
