Brother and sister Daniel and Aimee Turiccki have both decided to pursue their careers with David Wilson Homes and both have joined the housebuilder’s regional commercial division, which looks after purchasing and surveying land.
28-year-old Daniel joined the company’s South Midlands head office in Northampton from a local engineering consultancy in 2012, working his way up to his current senior quantity surveyor role. Aimee, 26, was recommended the housebuilding industry by her brother and has recently joined the company as a commercial administrator.
He says: “I really enjoy working in the commercial department because of the mix of people and the challenging work”, with Aimee adding: “The people in the department are very friendly and made me feel welcome straight away. I’m really enjoying the range of work I’m getting to do and how no two days are the same.”
The commercial part of Barratt Developments works to build office, industrial, retail, leisure, and mixed-use schemes under the Wilson Bowden Developments brand. A trade-facing part of the new homes business (Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes) deals with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that it sources the right amount and quality of goods and services on projects across the country. In its last financial year, the company delivered 17,395 new homes nationally.
John Dillon, managing director at David Wilson Homes South Midlands, says: “We are delighted that both Daniel and Aimee have chosen to grow their careers with our commercial team and would like to welcome Aimee to our expanding office. As a leading housebuilder in Northamptonshire, we pride ourselves on not only providing a first-class service for our customers, but also ensuring we look after our staff and provide opportunities to progress within the company and achieve their ambitions.
“As a division, we have exciting growth plans in place for the years ahead and now is a fantastic time to be joining the company and actively supporting this further development.”
