Bellway launches South Midlands division

Bellway now has 18 trading divisions spanning the UK from Scotland to the south coast.

Bellway South Midlands will operate from offices at Coventry Business Park. Regional Director Mike Kelly will take the helm, having moved from Bellway’s East Midlands division in Leicester where he was Land Director.

The new division will focus on developing land in Coventry, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire. Work is already underway at Hathaway Gardens in Stratford-upon-Avon and construction will soon begin at developments across the region.

Mike Kelly said, “I’m thrilled to be given the opportunity to lead the new South Midlands division. It is a truly exciting time to be a part of Bellway. We’re looking forward to getting started and building our team as we establish the division.

“We’re hoping to expand our operations in the area quickly, and will soon be working on sites in Coventry, Towcester, Stratford-upon-Avon, Evesham and Warwick. We are also looking for further land opportunities across the region as the new division grows.

“As well as providing new homes in these areas, the South Midlands division will also create jobs at our new regional headquarters in Coventry and on-site, plus we will support hundreds of contractor jobs across the region in our first year alone.”

Bellway Regional Chairman Andy Beasley said, “The launch of the South Midlands comes in response to a significant rise in demand for new homes in this area. It is an area where we already have a strong presence and the new regional team will enable us to deliver higher volumes without compromising our attention to every detail.

“We have identified this area as a key region for growth and we have already made some important appointments for the division.

“We expect the South Midlands division to expand quickly, which will create a number of roles, attracting experienced industry professionals and creating jobs for local people.

“Our land team is already working to identify opportunities to further expand our presence in the area.”
