About the role

We are recruiting for a commercially astute Land Manager to support our business’ growth, to be based at our in our stunning Head office, Ringwood, supporting our South West region.

You will support our land team to investigate and appraise all possible sites for development throughout the Region. 

As a Land Manager, you’ll also work closely our planning, construction and design teams on a day to day basis. The role is fast moving and sociable; you’ll liaise with Local Authorities, Estate Agents and Land Owners on a day to day basis.  You’ll be required to make a minimum number of recommendations to purchase land in line with the Regional Land objectives.

Excitingly, you’ll have the opportunity to help the company grow through the acquisition of new sites.  You’ll see your efforts rewarded with successful planning applications and customers who love their independent, safe and secure home - knowing you’ve had a part to play in this.

Your duties will include finding new sites for the company to purchase, negotiating the purchase of them and undertaking detailed reviews of settlements.

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 9.00am - 5.30pm and 9.00am – 5.00pm on Friday. Please note that overtime may be required during peak times.

About you

You’ll have previous Land Buying experience within the property sector, preferably gained with a New Build developer.

You will have the ability to influence decisions using appropriate methods and facts and proven negotiation, communication and organisational skills. You will be used to managing a small team and supporting them through their career and making senior decisions on behalf of the team.

You will be analytical, a driven individual with a hunger for success, will enjoy meeting targets, overcoming challenges and supporting your team.

It’s essential that you’re a competent driver with a valid UK drivers licence as you’ll be spending a large proportion of your time out of the office.
