Baumatic has unveiled the new B501BS oven in black stainless steel.Manufactured using pure 18/10 stainless steel, it is black all the way through, rather than spray painted or varnished, thus benefiting from the hardwearing and hygiene benefits of traditional stainless steel. This multi-functional oven has seven cooking modes and is A rated for energy. It has a capacity of 57 litres and a triple-glazed removable door. Also, a removable roof liner should make easy work of cleaning the most difficult part of the oven above the grill element. Maytag has brought out a drying cabinet, a freestanding unit for drying anything from shoes, Wellington boots, hats, coats and gloves to fine cashmere jumpers.
It is the first drying cabinet of its kind that offers a modern version of the airing cupboard with the additional benefit of an equivalent of 16 metres of clothes line. Three gentle heat settings with a four-hour timer will dry 3.5kgs to 4kgs of clothes in a couple of hours. It is fitted with sliding racks and multiple prongs and hangers. Warm air, which flows around hanging garments, helps creases to drop out. Maytag's product marketing manager Stuart Frost says, "It doesn't tumble, so it doesn't shrink or pill your clothes. Maytag's Drying Cabinet will dry virtually anything gently to perfection. It's a great cupboard to have around as few modern houses have either an airing cupboard or any place at all to dry wet garments." The cabinet comes in either white or stainless steel and can be installed anywhere in the home.
