Several changes have occurred within the Moat sales and marketing team. Laura Bradley was appointed permanently as customer resource manager, Cheryl Tilbury moved into the role of customer resource team leader and David O' Donovan became customer service advisor.Bradley (left) was seconded to the role of customer resource manager six months ago to cover a colleague's maternity leave and looks forward to implementing new ideas and processes now that her position is permanent. She manages Moat's HomeBuy Agency role and liaises with other housing associations in Kent, Essex and Sussex.
Tilbury (centre) was also seconded to her new position in February 2008 and is delighted to be taking the role further now that it is a permanent position. She manages a small team of four customer advisors who work on the front line desk. Between them they deal with applications and enquiries for the HomeBuy schemes.
O'Donovan's new role is also a secondment made permanent. He wants to develop the skills he has already learnt within the HomeBuy team and build a foundation for taking on more responsibility in the future.
Westleigh Developments has welcomed the arrival of Chris Brown as a new Land Manager to its Land Department. Brown, 29, joins Whetstone-based Westleigh after spending four years as a Land Buyer for David Wilson Homes. His main role will be identifying new development opportunities for Westleigh across the Midlands, with specific focus on Derbyshire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands.
"Westleigh is a family run business with an excellent reputation for being a great employer to work for," said Brown. "I am delighted to have joined such a forward thinking company and looking forward to being involved in bringing new land opportunities to help continue the rapid growth and build on the success already experienced.
"The current market is proving tough for developers and there is no sign of improvement in the immediate future. However Westleigh is in the fortunate position of not being wholly reliant on the private sector for revenue and it is this that enables the company to continue activity in the market and continue to grow where others are struggling."
Yorkshire-based new homes developer Skipton Properties has appointed a new chairman; 51-year-old Mike Stansfield. Currently sitting on the boards of NHBC Building Services, Housing 21 and the Housing Forum, Stansfield has 30 years' experience in property development. This includes 11 years as a director of Wilson Bowden plc and eight years as chief executive of David Wilson Homes. He established MJS development consultancy in January 2005.
He says: "I am extremely pleased to be joining Skipton Properties. It is a very well known and respected housebuilder in the area, and I am looking to assist the company throughout the prevailing market conditions and provide a framework and structure to take the company forward."
Brian Verity, Skipton Properties managing director said: "We are delighted that Mike has joined our board. We look forward to his guidance and extensive experience through the next phase of our company’s development."
Savills has promoted four members of its development, planning and new homes teams in Bristol.
Julian Harbottle, who heads up the development department, is now a director. Ursula Vinten, Nick Matthews and Ben Taylor have been appointed to associate director.
The teams work closely together on a range of development projects across South West England with clients including landowners, developers, banks and private individuals.
Harbottle's clients include some of the largest landowners in South West England and Wales including the Welsh Assembly Government, the South West RDA, BP and St Modwen Developments. He specialises in advising on strategic and longer-term development land.
Vinten provides valuation and development consultancy advice. Current projects include advising Bristol City Council on the development of St Mary le Port in the city centre.
Matthews is in the Bristol planning team, helping to guide clients through the increasingly complicated planning process.
Taylor has been a member of the new homes team for four years providing consultancy advice to developers on large scale developments across the region.

Propertyfinder.com has appointed Natalie Mead as its new marketing and products director. Mead joins propertyfinder.com with over 18 years' experience in consumer marketing, ten of which were in online services. She is a former marketing director of MSN, and vice president of marketing at AutoQuake, the UK's leading online used car retailer, and brings a wealth of knowledge of how to target internet audiences and propel online products into market leading positions.
Mead said: "I'm excited to be joining propertyfinder at such an interesting time. The UK property portal market is ready for a shake up. We already encroaching on our biggest rival and we are working exceptionally hard to drive traffic from all possible avenues to our agents' properties. But there is no room in this market for complacency, and while this is a great result, it is certainly not a battle won.
"We have already implemented a site re-design this month which has improved the aesthetics and usability of the site; and will encourage buyers and sellers back to our site again and again. Gary Needham has been appointed as Land and New Homes partner for Sequence covering West of England and South Wales.
He has worked in the land industry for 18 years throughout the South of England and will bring to his role plenty of experience from working for large and small house builders. Operating from Sequence's well-known Allen & Harris brand Gary will be responsible for developing land opportunities for developers in the region.
Divisional managing director for the South West, Simon Cross, welcomed Gary to his new role: "Gary has a proven track record of success and his experience and knowledge of the industry will be invaluable in finding new opportunities for house builders."
GL Hearn has made a number of new appointments and promotions within its successful Planning and Development Team, as part of a continued strategy to grow the business nationwide.
Matthew Nicholson and Stuart Baillie will join as Planning Director and Associate Planning Director, respectively and will be based at the London office. In addition, Julian Goodban and James Cook, also based in the London office, have been promoted to the role of Planning Director.
Nicholson joins from Sainsbury's where he was responsible for a third of the UK including London. At GL Hearn he will concentrate on retail-led mixed-use development schemes in London and the South East. Baillie moves from WSP to enhance GL Hearn's regeneration advisory offering. His previous role focused on Regeneration Frameworks and town centre strategies across the UK. He has particular experience of London and the Thames Gateway and is a retained adviser to Newham Council.
Dominic Haworth, 26, has joined Native Land moving from Rockpoint Group's London office where he worked as an Associate with a focus on commercial property investments in the UK across all sectors.
Previous positions have been held with Bear Stearns International, in the European Real Estate Finance Group where he worked on Pan-European transactions and three years at Invista Real Estate Investment Management in the UK and European Property Team. Haworth has a BA in Financial and Business Economics and an MSc in Real Estate Management.
His principal responsibilities at Native Land will focus on site identification and new acquisitions, working alongside co-founder Jonathan Mantovani to strengthen Native Land's property portfolio.

Luxury house builders Parker-Lake Homes has appointed Lisa Hale as Business Development Manager. She will be responsible for targeting and acquiring new development opportunities for the Warwickshire-based company.Hale's property development background made her the ideal candidate to help drive the business forward. Having over 15 years experience in the industry, she has worked on many residential and commercial developments, mainly in London, where she was based for the last five years.
She said: "My role is to locate and identify new investment opportunities for the company. I will acquire sites that provide development potential for the business and aim to build on the success of the Parker-Lake Homes marque that is now so widely renowned."
She continued: "This is a very exciting career move for me. I have joined a company that is the very best at what it does and which is looking to continue to develop. I am delighted to be able to bring my skills and experience to add to the excellent Parker-Lake Homes team and am looking forward to the challenges ahead."
The 38-year-old, who has two children, a son aged 14 and daughter aged 11, lives in Warwickshire.
Award-winning developer Crosby Lend Lease has appointed Clare King as Materials Buyer for its suburban developments in the North West.
King, from St Helen's in Merseyside, joins the Projects Department at Crosby Lend Lease as Materials Buyer, having previously worked as an Assistant Buyer with Harron Homes North West. She will report to commercial manager, Gary Buckley and her role will cover the purchasing of all materials for Crosby Lend Lease's suburban sites; Appleton Village in Widnes, Beechwood in Lymm and The Alternative in Altrincham.
Commenting on the appointment Gary Buckley said: "We are delighted to welcome Clare to the Commercial Department at Crosby Lend Lease. Clare will be helping with tenders for new sites, stock control and liaising with senior site staff and we all wish her the very best in her new role."
