Timber importer and manufacturer JOHN BRASH AND COMPANY has introduced JB Antislip Plus timber decking, which provides enhanced grip on slippery or high- traffic timber decking areas.
All John Brash timber products are sourced from renewable, well-managed forests, with softwood having either Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) or Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).
Says Nigel Booth, marketing manager at John Brash: "An increasing number of developers and specifiers are recognising the environmental benefit of using timber to help meet their green build targets. Timber is an environmental choice for housing developments because growing trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, while at the same time emitting oxygen. Turning this timber into products ensures the carbon dioxide remains locked up in the material itself."

Sheerframe product director David Strang says: "Our Sheerframe product range allows specifiers to choose outerframes and sidelights manufactured from high-performance lead-free PVC for all types of composite doors without any compromise on safety, security and aesthetics. The Sheerframe range is an eco-friendly alternative to the use of tropical hardwoods, so often the norm in the manufacture of fire doors until now."
