Barratt hires recruitment guru
Barratt has appointed Bob Lawson, chairman of recruitment firm Hays, as its new non-executive chairman.Lawson (pictured), previously chief executive of electronics supplier Electrocomponents, is set to replace Charles Toner, who will retire at the end of June after six months in the post.
“I’m delighted to be joining the Barratt board, and looking forward to working with Mark Clare and the management team,” Lawson told the press. “Barratt has established an outstanding reputation as a housebuilder, and this is due in no small part to Charles’ leadership over the last six years.”
Lawson will join Barratt’s board on June 1, and become chairman at the start of the new financial year a month later.
