Inspector Homes launches new service
Leading new home inspection service Inspector Home has today launched an independent site accreditation scheme.Aiming to guarantee that new home and off-plan buyers purchase high quality new-build properties, the firm’s product aims to cut after-sales care costs for housebuilders. To receive accreditation, sites must achieve low minor defect levels of snagging of no more than 10 per cent of the national average.
“This is the first time developers have had the opportunity to provide independent verification of their quality,” said Inspector Home director Vanessa Ambler. “Our clients are very excited that they are now able to demonstrate confidence in their product. It’s a bit like having a kite mark for your new home.”
Fellow Inspector Home director Stephen Nancarrow likens the process to mystery shopping for the housebuilding sector. “It is unrealistic to expect new homes to be defect free,” Nancarrow adds. “But there are many developers out there achieving great results, and we believe they should be recognised.”
The Inspector Homes scheme is open to all UK developers. Visit www.inspectorhome.net/ for further information.
