Bellway reject Redrow approach
Bellway has responded to rumours that it has approached its rival Redrow with plans for a £1.3 billion merger, as “pure speculation.” Julian Kenyon (pictured) of Bellway’s press office told Show House online: “We are not in negotiations with Redrow and are not prepared to comment on what is pure press speculation.”
Both companies’ have been adversely affected by the credit crunch, however any merger between the two firms would create the second largest construction company in the UK.
