Nine housebuilders named in Profit Track 100
Springfield Properties, Gladedale and last year’s What House? Award winner, Applecross Properties, were among nine construction companies listed in the ninth annual Profit Track 100 league table, which was published in The Sunday Times on 20 April 2008.Profit Track 100 ranks Britain's fastest-growing private companies by average profit growth, over the past three years of available audited accounts.
Profit growth ranged from 49% pa to 114% pa, resulting in an annual average profit growth of 67% over the last three years, with combined profits rising from £459m to a total of £2bn. The 100 companies listed have added 34,500 workers over the last three years to a combined total of 77,000.
This year's league table features property developers such as Robertson (4th), Springfield Properties (14th), Hagan Homes (63rd), Mandale (74th), Rydon Group (76th), John Laing Partnership (78th), Gladedale (79th), Applecross Properties (87th) and Hill Holdings (100th).
