‘Altherma’ is the commercial name given to the Daikin air source air-to-water inverter heat pump system, supplied by Space Air. The ‘Altherma’ ashp system is designed to replace conventional fossil fuel boilers (Gas/LPG/Oil/direct electric) and provides 3-5 times more energy for heating and hot water to family homes. Consisting of 3 components, the outdoor heat pump unit, the indoor hydro-box boiler and the storage cylinder, it is adaptable for all applications.With space and water heating representing 84% of UK residential energy consumption, replacing conventional central? heating boilers with ‘Altherma’ air-to-water heat pumps is the single largest contribution householders can make towards ?reducing their carbon emissions.
